Select “Options menu” and click on “Connect or Go to URL”

Save the free ringtone after download completes

For Verizon Users

Check New Text Message and press Ok.

Select the menu button under View

Press the “Right” direction pad to show the details of the ringtone.

Click ‘Option

Select Save Msg and then Save Sound

Exit

In main phone menu screen, select Menu > My Media > Audio

Scroll down to your new LilTone ringtone, hit Play

Go to Options > Set As Ring Tone.

Click Options > Use Detail > Web Address > Options > Go To

The browser will display a message similar to “Your ringtone ready for download from here”

Select Start Download

Select Open Link or Open URL

Go to Tone Received page

Select Play

Chose Options > Set as ringtone

Go to the text message
Click ‘Menu’ (middle button)
Select ‘Go To’
The browser will display the message similar to “Your ringtone/music is ready for download from here”.
Click Start Download or Download
Clck “Right button” and choose Apply as Ringtone.
The free ringtone will be applied as a ringtone and the file will be saved in Sounds > Multimedia

For Verizon Users

Open the PIX/MMS or TXT Message.
Go to Menu, select Details
Select Save Items
Download Songs as Ringtones

Convert .RAX Files to MP3 Format

So you purchased latest hits from Rhapsody or Real Player, and want to make them into cool tones? However, by now, you should realize that they are in a weird RAX format, which LilTone Beta does not support. Got stuck? Don’t give up yet. Here’s how you can convert .RAX files to MP3s before making your favorite ringers:

Burn the .RAX tracks to an audio CD: In RealPlayer click “Burn/Transfer”.
Insert the newly burned CD in your CD/DVD drive, then select “Play or save music from audio CD using Real Player with RealPlayer”
In RealPlayer, a pop-up message would appeal: “The tracks on this CD have not been saved to My Library, Would you like Real Player to save these tracks now?” Click Yes
RealPlayer would automatically save the tracks in MP3 format on your hard drive. You can also click on “Options” and select MP3 to make sure the tracks are being converted to MP3s

How to Convert Audio File to MP3 Format

Since we got quite a few email asking how to convert audio files into mp3 format, we decided to post intructions on this blog and on FAQ – Convert Audio File section in LilTone.com. Hopefully, those instruction can help our user to make ringtone easier.

There are a lot of audio conversion programs you can use to convert audio files from different file formats into mp3. For example, Switch is an Australian-produced freeware application, which has Windows and Mac version available.

Here is the instruction for using Switch to convert audio files into mp3 format on Windows:

Open Switch program.
Click the “Add Files” button or press Alt+A on your keyboard to add audio files for conversion.
Specified the destination on your disk in “Output Folder”.
Select “.mp3″ as your output format.
Click the “Convert” button.
